This workbook is a basic version of my calligraphy style. It is not meant to include additional flourishing or other components. Please remember this is a guide, not a rule book! The workbook contains the following sections:
- Introduction: Just a bit about me and what to expect (1 page)
- Tips & Tools: Recommended pen(s) and paper, as well as introductions to the grouping of lowercase letters and uppercase letters (1 page)
- Exemplar of full Alphabet: Exemplar of both upper and lower case letters as a guide to fall back on. (1 page)
- Basic Strokes: Common traceable strokes that are found throughout the alphabet (1 page)
- Lower Case Alphabet: Exemplar of each letter followed by traceable practice letters. Each stroke is demonstrated by order number and arrows to indicate direction of the writing path. Basic letter forms (13 pages)
- Upper Case Alphabet: Exemplar of each letter followed by traceable practice letters. Each stroke is demonstrated by order number and arrows to indicate direction of the writing path. Basic Letter forms with minimal flourishing components (13 pages)
- Numbers: Exemplar of each number followed by traceable practice letters. Each stroke is demonstrated by order number and arrows to indicate direction of the writing path. Basic numeral forms (2 pages)
- Set of Common Phrases: Set of phrases followed by traceable letters. (3 pages)
- Guide page (1 page): Blank guide page for unlimited printing to practice on.

Practice in a variety of ways:
1. Directly: Print on smooth, heavier stock paper, and write on directly on the pages.
2. Tracing: Print on any quality paper, but use tracing paper (over a light pad or not) to trace over the letters. This can be a cheaper option as tracing paper is very smooth but inexpensive.
3. Digitally: Import directly into Procreate and turn on the Page Assist function! For each page that you want to practice on, “create a new layer” then “combine down” to the page you want to practice on. There are loads of free calligraphy brushes you can download online. I use the “Technical Pen” (6% Thickness) provided by Procreate.
